Privacy Policy

Who we are

Techmplish ATS ("we", "us") operates ats.techmplish.com, a recruitment platform connecting candidates, recruiters, and companies. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and follows GDPR principles for users elsewhere.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a salted hash).
• Professional data: your CV/resume (the uploaded file and its extracted contents — work history, education, skills, projects), headline, preferences such as expected salary and willingness to relocate.
• Application data: jobs you apply to, application status, cover letters, and interview records created by recruiters.
• Referral data: if you arrive through someone's referral link or share your own, we record who referred whom to run the rewards program.
• Usage data: AI feature usage (counts and token volumes, for fair-use limits), and basic technical logs.
• Cookies: only what is needed to keep you signed in and remember consent choices. See the cookie banner for controls.

How we use your data

• To match candidates with jobs: we compute semantic representations of CVs and job descriptions so recruiters can find relevant candidates and candidates can find relevant roles.
• To provide AI features: when you upload a CV or a recruiter uploads a job description, its text is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude API) to extract structured fields, and for optional text-improvement features you invoke. Anthropic does not train models on this API data.
• To operate the referral rewards program (attribution, vesting, payouts).
• To send transactional emails: account verification, application confirmations, and password links. We do not send marketing email without separate consent.

Who can see your data

Recruiters on the platform can view candidate profiles, CVs, and match results to evaluate applications and source talent. If you were referred, the recruiter can see who referred you and that referrer's track record. Your referrer can see your name and the status of applications made through their link. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. Uploaded CVs are replaced when you upload a new one. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS); passwords are hashed; access to production systems is restricted. Data is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region.

Your rights

• Access / portability: export all your data anytime from Profile → Account, or via our support email.
• Correction: edit your profile and CV at any time.
• Erasure: delete your account from Profile → Account; this permanently removes your profile, CVs, and applications.
• Consent withdrawal: adjust cookie choices via the banner; contact us to object to specific processing.

For any privacy question, data request, or grievance under the DPDP Act, contact our Grievance Officer at privacy@techmplish.com. We aim to respond within 7 days.

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be announced in-app.
